WebVA7EEX • 5 yr. ago. I have a 102" whip that appears to have been a collapsible tent pole in an earlier life, works fine down to 20m with a tuner but beyond that it isn't going to to be doing much. I'd recommend you get an MFJ-1979 instead, it's a 17ft (1/4 on 20m) whip that collapses to roughly 3ft.
